Olivia Serrill is an artist and designer based in Portland, OR. With her education in graphic design, she uses basic principles of color theory, contrast, balance, and layout to now create abstract art. She is currently working on her Life Plan series—which are color coded works on paper that represent the progression of time. The detailed and sometimes obsessive mark-making in her work, symbolizes the habits we form and the (sometimes very long) seasons of life that we go through. As a Christian she also considers the role God has to play in our lives, and therefore these paintings are a perception of that relationship: between expectations and reality.
